Sir John Nott, former UK Defence Secretary during the Falklands War, has died at 92. He served under Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and twice offered his resignation, which she refused, allowing him to oversee the liberation of the Falkland Islands in 1982. Nott is also known for storming out of a TV interview with broadcaster Sir Robin Day that same year. He was an MP for St Ives from 1966 and held various Cabinet positions under Thatcher.
