Britons are urged to check for a rare £1 coin error featuring King Charles III, valued over £1,000.

British citizens are being advised to check for a rare, erroneous £1 coin featuring King Charles III and a bee design. An all-gold version, lacking the typical gold rim and silver center due to a minting error, is estimated to be worth over £1,000 among collectors. Although no sales have been recorded yet, it could fetch between £500 and £1,000 at auction. The Royal Mint is producing millions of these coins, with more denominations expected in 2024.
