Bengaluru's Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced plans to expand the city's metro network by adding 175 km of new lines by 2026. The newly extended Green Line from Nagasandra to Madavara, opening on November 7, covers 3.14 km and includes three new stations. This expansion, part of a broader effort to improve public transport, aims to alleviate traffic congestion and accommodate an additional 44,000 daily passengers.
