Arunachal Pradesh plans three new medical colleges, doubling MBBS seats and launching PG courses.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced plans to create three new medical colleges, raising the total to four, with locations in Pasighat, Namsai, and West Kameng-Tawang. The number of MBBS seats at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences has doubled to 100, with 85 seats for tribal students. Additionally, the government will launch PG courses in 12 specialties and establish a 500-bed super specialty block and a 200-bed Regional Cancer Center.
