Three arrested in Kedah for allegedly seeking a RM150,000 bribe tied to a celebrity preacher.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested three individuals, including a political activist, in Kedah for suspected bribery linked to a celebrity preacher. They allegedly sought a RM150,000 bribe to aid in a money laundering case involving the preacher. Preliminary findings indicate they received RM20,000 in cash. A four-day remand order has been issued as the investigation continues under the MACC Act 2009.
