On Tuesday morning, a six-vehicle crash on Winnipeg's south Perimeter Highway near St. Mary's Road occurred due to icy conditions, closing the highway in both directions for about two hours. One person was hospitalized, but injuries were mostly minor. The icy roads were attributed to rain followed by freezing temperatures. Authorities reminded drivers to exercise caution, especially on bridges. The road has since reopened after sanding efforts.
