A November 1 shooting in Roanoke left one injured; suspect Frederick Wiley was arrested.
On November 1, a shooting occurred on Ferncliff Avenue NW in Roanoke, resulting in a victim with non-life-threatening injuries. Frederick Lynell Wiley, a 46-year-old resident, turned himself in on November 5 and was arrested on a charge of malicious wounding. He is currently held without bond at the Roanoke City Adult Detention Center. The area has a history of violence, with three fatal shootings reported in the past two years.
