India's government and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have agreed to a $200 million loan to improve urban infrastructure in Uttarakhand, focusing on water supply, sanitation, and transportation. The project, centered in Haldwani, aims to create climate-resilient services and enhance disaster preparedness. It includes developing eco-friendly transportation and upgrading facilities in several cities. The European Investment Bank will also contribute $191 million to the initiative.
