Hiromitsu Miura, a 43-year-old former WEC welterweight title challenger from Fukuoka, Japan, passed away on October 26, 2024, after a battle with acute leukemia. Miura began his MMA career in 2004, famously fighting Carlos Condit for the WEC title in 2008. He also held the Pancrase welterweight title in 2016 and briefly competed in professional boxing, ending with a 9-1 record. His family announced his passing and thanked supporters.
