Democrat Dave Upthegrove leads the race for Washington Public Lands Commissioner with 53% of the vote.

Democrat Dave Upthegrove is currently leading the Washington Public Lands Commissioner race with approximately 53% of the vote, ahead of Republican Jaime Herrera Beutler at around 47%. Upthegrove's platform includes plans to preserve 80,000 acres of older forests, which has drawn opposition from the logging industry. The Commissioner oversees about 6 million acres of public land. Vote counting is ongoing, and the current Commissioner, Hilary Franz, did not seek re-election.
