On November 5, the Roanoke County Fire and Rescue Department responded to a car fire threatening a home on Richards Boulevard in the Cave Spring area. The fire, which started in the car's engine compartment and ignited nearby dry leaves, was controlled within 10 minutes. The vehicle was a total loss, with damages estimated at $30,000, but the house sustained only minor damage. No injuries or displacements occurred.
