Wiltshire Police's Kerry Lawes apologized for falsely labeling Novichok victim Dawn Sturgess.

Temporary Superintendent Kerry Lawes of Wiltshire Police has apologized for incorrectly labeling Dawn Sturgess, a Novichok poisoning victim, as a "well-known drug addict" in an email prior to her death in July 2018. Sturgess died after exposure to the nerve agent from a discarded perfume bottle, part of a larger incident linked to the attempted murder of former spy Sergei Skripal. The inquiry revealed no evidence of drug use by Sturgess.
