Pope Francis has appointed Bishop Jeffrey S. Grob, 63, as the 12th Archbishop of Milwaukee, succeeding Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki, who retired at 75. Grob, a Wisconsin native currently serving as auxiliary bishop in Chicago, will oversee approximately 500,000 Catholics in the region. His installation ceremony is set for January 14, 2025, presided over by Cardinal Christophe Pierre. Grob expressed gratitude for the opportunity to return to his home state.
