Poland indicts two men for espionage, alleging they gathered intelligence for Belarus.

Poland has indicted two men—Nikolay M., a 53-year-old Belarusian, and Bernard S., a 59-year-old Polish citizen—on charges of espionage for Belarus. They were arrested in March 2023; Nikolay M. allegedly conducted reconnaissance at a military airport and gathered intelligence on military and railway operations. Bernard S. is accused of assisting him with accommodation. If convicted, both face up to 10 years in prison amid rising tensions between Poland and Belarus.
