Hindustan Petroleum plans to increase oil imports from Iraq to 100,000 bpd by 2025.

Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL), a state-owned Indian company, plans to raise its oil import agreement with Iraq to 100,000 barrels per day in 2025, a 43% increase from 2024's 70,000 bpd. This increase aims to support the expansion of its Vizag refinery, which will reach 300,000 bpd capacity. HPCL also expects to begin operations at its 180,000 bpd Barmer refinery in Rajasthan by late 2023 or early 2024.
