Georgia gas prices rose to an average of $2.94 per gallon after a gas tax suspension ended.

Georgia gas prices have risen by two cents over the past week, averaging $2.94 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. This increase follows the end of a gas tax suspension by Governor Brian Kemp, which had previously lowered prices. AAA predicts prices may soon decrease due to seasonal demand drops and a switch to cheaper winter fuel. The most expensive metro areas are Hinesville-Fort Stewart, Valdosta, and Brunswick, while Rome, Augusta-Aiken, and Catoosa-Dade-Walker have the lowest prices.
