Elections BC admitted to missing 861 votes in a key riding, raising concerns over election integrity.

Elections BC has admitted to not counting a ballot box with 861 votes and reporting 14 uncounted votes in a key riding during the recent provincial election. These errors prompted Conservative Leader John Rustad to call for an independent review. While Elections BC stated these omissions did not affect the election results, concerns about public trust in the electoral process have been raised. Recounts in affected ridings are scheduled for November 7 and 8.
