Melonie White, a 27-year-old mother found strangled near Lake Mead in 1994, has had her suspected killer identified after nearly 30 years. The Las Vegas nonprofit Vegas Justice League funded DNA testing and forensic genetic genealogy, leading to the identification of Arthur Joseph Lavery, who had died in 2021. The organization has solved 41 cold cases nationwide and continues to support DNA testing for other unresolved cases.
