A 23-year-old woman faces assault charges after a four-month-old baby was injured and hospitalized.

A 23-year-old woman from North Bruce Peninsula faces charges of assault causing bodily harm and failing to provide the necessities of life after a four-month-old baby suffered injuries. The baby was treated in Hanover Hospital and airlifted to a London hospital, where they are in serious but stable condition; the child has since been released into the care of Bruce-Grey Child and Family Services. The suspect is due in court in early December.
