South Africa's Minister of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment, Dr. Dion George, stressed the urgent need for coordinated international action against wildlife crime during the United for Wildlife Global Summit 2024. He highlighted the threats posed by environmental crimes to biodiversity and the economy and called for collaboration among law enforcement and regulatory agencies. Dr. George reaffirmed South Africa's commitment to its National Integrated Strategy to Combat Wildlife Trafficking.
