Ryanair charged Catherine Warrilow £75 for an oversized cabin bag, but she later received a refund.

Catherine Warrilow, 45, was charged £75 by Ryanair for her cabin bag, which the airline claimed was 2cm over the size limit due to an expandable zip. Despite having pre-paid for priority boarding and a 10kg bag, she was told the bag was too large at the gate. After sharing her experience publicly and seeking help from consumer advocate Helen Dewdney, Warrilow received a full refund. Dewdney advises travelers to know airline policies and be ready to contest fees.
