PM Modi highlights India's 17.7% TB decline, exceeding global rates, aiming for eradication by 2025.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised India's 17.7% decline in tuberculosis (TB) incidence from 2015 to 2023, as recognized by the World Health Organization, noting it surpasses the global decline of 8.3%. This progress is attributed to the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, which includes initiatives like the Ni-Kshay Poshan Yojana for nutritional support and the BPALM regimen for drug-resistant TB. India aims to eradicate TB by 2025, five years ahead of the global target.
