The Nigerian Army has declared 44 soldiers missing in Borno State as deserters, as they failed to report back to their unit, the 403 Amphibious Brigade, by October 31, 2024. These soldiers were deployed to combat Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists. In response to their absence, the Army has frozen their bank accounts and instructed military police to locate and return them for disciplinary action.
