A New Zealand support worker has been ordered to apologize after verbally abusing and spitting at a disabled woman in his care, failing to intervene during her self-harm. The incident, captured on video, prompted an investigation by the Health and Disability Commissioner. Deputy Commissioner Rose Wall deemed the behavior unacceptable and recommended training on respect and communication for future employment, as well as a formal apology to the victim.
