A man was arrested for allegedly assaulting Irish Minister Roderic O'Gorman during a campaign event.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and charged following an alleged assault on Roderic O'Gorman, the Minister for Children and Green Party leader, during an election canvass in Blanchardstown, Dublin on November 2. O'Gorman was not injured, thanks to the quick intervention of a Garda Protection Officer.
