The Prime Minister's Vishwakarma Yojana, launched on September 17, 2022, aims to support traditional artisans and craftspeople across 18 trades. It has received 2.58 crore applications, with 23.75 lakh registered for benefits. Nearly 10 lakh individuals received toolkit incentives, and loans totaling Rs 551.80 crore were sanctioned at a reduced interest rate. The scheme provides training, marketing support, and aims to foster entrepreneurship among artisans, enhancing their livelihoods.
