Dublin's tech sector office market share plummeted to 7.1% despite rising employment in 2024.

In the third quarter, the technology sector's share of Dublin's office market fell to 7.1%, a steep decline from 51% between 2017 and 2021, according to BNP Paribas Real Estate Ireland. While overall office space take-up rose by 66% year-on-year, driven by 48,000 sq m leased, Dublin faces high vacancy rates. Despite the tech sector's inactivity in leasing, tech employment rebounded by 11.3% in early 2024, reaching a record 94,200 jobs.
