CRH has launched Romania's first wind farm to power a cement plant, reducing CO₂ emissions.

CRH has launched Romania's first wind farm dedicated to powering a cement plant, specifically the Medgidia facility. The 30 MW farm, featuring five turbines, will supply about 80 GWh of renewable energy annually, reducing the plant's carbon footprint and Romania's CO₂ emissions by 40,000 tons each year. This project supports CRH's goal to cut carbon emissions by 30% by 2030, reflecting its commitment to decarbonization and clean energy.
