Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov during the 7th China International Import Expo in Shanghai, highlighting the strong relations since their diplomatic ties began over 30 years ago. They agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, and various sectors, aiming to double bilateral trade, which reached $41 billion in 2020. The visit resulted in eight commercial agreements worth $2.5 billion, focusing on key projects and infrastructure under the Belt and Road initiative.
