CBSE will open a sub-regional office in Agartala to address poor exam performance in Tripura schools.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will establish a sub-regional office in Agartala, Tripura, due to poor exam performance at state-run schools now called Vidyajyoti Schools. Since the BJP's 2018 governance, these schools adopted an English-medium curriculum, resulting in 61% and 59% pass rates for classes 10 and 12, respectively. The office will provide services like admission support and teacher training, initially operating from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya.
