Lawrence D. Toler II, 37, was critically injured and a bystander shot during a traffic stop by Spotsylvania County deputies at a gas station in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Toler, wanted on multiple felony warrants, attempted to flee, backed into a deputy's vehicle, and pointed a firearm at officers. In response, deputies fired their weapons, injuring both Toler and the bystander, who suffered minor injuries. The Virginia State Police are investigating the incident.
