Telangana plans a new energy policy to generate 20,000 MW of green energy by 2035.

Telangana's Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced plans for a new energy policy aimed at making the state a leader in the power sector. The policy will seek input from experts and aims to generate 20,000 MW of green energy by 2035 to meet rising electricity demands, projected at 22,288 MW by 2028-29. The Yadadri Thermal Power Plant is set to connect 4,000 MW to the grid by May 2025 as part of these initiatives.
