Tamkeen for Legal Aid and Human Rights has urged reforms in Jordan's agricultural labor regulations to enhance worker protections, particularly for women. Currently, there is no system to track working hours for both Jordanian and non-Jordanian agricultural workers. Historically excluded from labor laws until 1996, agricultural workers gained some rights through amendments and the 2021 Bylaw No. 19, which outlines working hours, vacations, and social security. A recent panel discussed these ongoing challenges.
