With backing from notable investors and a partnership with Trina Solar, the company aims to commercialize this technology, capitalizing on copper's abundance and lower cost. SunDrive is also seeking funding from Australia’s $1 billion Solar Sunshot program to produce 1 gigawatt of solar modules annually in Sydney.
