Michema Laurent, a 41-year-old woman from Atchison, Kansas, was arrested on October 31 after a violent altercation with police. Officers responded to a disturbance on South 8th Street, where Laurent allegedly threw liquid at an officer, kicked him, and resisted arrest. Following her apprehension, police discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her possession. She faces charges including battery of a law enforcement officer and possession of drugs.
