India's Sebi fined former Eros International MD Sunil Lulla INR 50 lakh for market violations.

India's market regulator, Sebi, has fined Sunil Lulla, former Managing Director of Eros International Media, INR 50 lakh for market norm violations. In June 2023, Sebi barred Lulla and others from securities markets over potential fund diversion. This ban was upheld by the Securities Appellate Tribunal in August 2023. Lulla resigned in July 2024 after receiving a show-cause notice. Sebi also fined 17 entities a total of INR 2 crore for non-compliance in related investigations.
