A Haida painting by Keenawaii Roberta Olson was returned to her family after 40 years in a hotel.

A painting by Haida artist Keenawaii Roberta Olson, depicting totems from Haida Gwaii, has been returned to her family after hanging for over 40 years in the Chateau Victoria hotel. The artwork was likely acquired during a 1980 exhibition where Olson showcased her work. Rory Perron, involved in the hotel's renovation, discovered the painting and tracked down Olson, now 83, returning it to her granddaughter, Elisha Henderson, in Victoria.
