A flood defense project in Wythall starts November 11 to protect homes from flooding risks.

A flood defense project in Wythall, Worcestershire, will begin on November 11. In response to severe flooding in May 2018, Bromsgrove District Council and North Worcestershire Water Management are constructing a 1,000m3 storage pond and installing leaky wooden dams to slow water flow. The project, costing approximately £36,000 and fully funded by the Regional Flood & Coastal Committee, aims to reduce flood risk for 10 homes downstream.
