Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge will produce CAR-T cells to advance cancer treatment.

Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, UK, will soon manufacture Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR)-T cells, becoming one of the few UK facilities to do so. Funded by a £1.4 million grant from the National Institute of Health Research, the expansion of the Cambridge Cellular Therapy Laboratory will include new cleanrooms, set to open in 12 to 18 months. This initiative aims to support clinical trials and potentially scale treatments for cancer and autoimmune diseases.
