A 200-tonne electric mining dump truck has begun operations in Shanxi Province, China, enhancing the region's coal industry. It can transport raw coal for six hours on a single charge, significantly reducing fuel consumption by 600 tonnes and carbon dioxide emissions by 1,800 tonnes annually. Consuming 12,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity daily, it lowers costs by 40%. The company plans to acquire more electric vehicles as part of ongoing industry upgrades.
