The CPI(M) accuses the Indian government of political discrimination for blocking MP V. Sivadasan's trip to Venezuela.

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) has accused the Indian government of political discrimination after it denied MP V. Sivadasan permission to attend the "Parliamentarian's Forum Against Fascism" in Venezuela on November 4-5. Despite having received necessary clearance under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, the Ministry of External Affairs blocked his participation, which CPI(M) views as an infringement on parliamentary rights and an attempt to stifle dissent.
