20 tonnes of live Arctic king crabs land imported in China via sea route to Jeminay Port, Xinjiang.

China has made its first land import of 20 tonnes of live Arctic king crabs, transported from the Arctic Ocean to Jeminay Port in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in six days. This method reportedly offers a higher survival rate for the crabs compared to air transport. A designated supervision site for aquatic food imports at Jeminay Port has been operational since October 10, with customs officials implementing tailored clearance processes.
