The Saskatchewan Medical Association (SMA) is focusing on team-based care to tackle health-care challenges like long wait times and difficulties in finding family doctors. The SMA is inviting physicians to form teams, supported by funding for hiring health professionals. A Rural Health Care Task Force is also proposed to address rural health issues. Additionally, Saskatchewan Polytechnic is launching a one-year paramedic program to meet the increasing demand for paramedics in the province.
