Klaveness Combination Carriers (KCC) has partnered with Jiangsu shipbuilders to install its first Wind-Assisted Propulsion System (WAPS) on a new CABU III vessel, set for delivery in Q3 2026. This system will feature two 24-meter eSAIL suction sails, the largest of their kind, aimed at cutting fuel consumption and carbon emissions significantly. KCC targets a 45% reduction in fleet carbon intensity by 2030 compared to 2018 levels.
