Canada's federal dental-care program treated one million patients in six months and aims to expand coverage in 2024.

Canada's federal dental-care program has treated over one million patients in its first six months, announced Health Minister Mark Holland. Beginning September 16, 2024, it will expand to cover complex procedures like crowns and dentures, and will accept paper claims to include more providers. Currently available for seniors, adults with disabilities, and children under 18, the program aims to be accessible to all Canadians by 2025, with 2.7 million registered recipients.
