Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), India's state-run telecom operator, has deployed over 50,000 indigenous 4G sites, with more than 41,000 operational. This effort, part of the Atma Nirbhar Bharat initiative, involves a TCS-led consortium and aims for nationwide 4G coverage by June 2025. BSNL plans to transition these sites to 5G shortly after completing 4G deployment, reflecting a commitment to enhancing digital connectivity through domestic technology.
