Asian Development Bank approves $80m loan for enhanced secondary education, climate-resilient classrooms in Cambodia.

The Asian Development Bank has approved an $80 million loan to Cambodia to enhance secondary education through the Secondary Education for Human Capital Competitiveness Project. This initiative aims to add 400 climate-resilient classrooms, address overcrowding, and improve access to quality education, particularly in STEM subjects. Currently, Cambodia has a 35.5% net enrollment rate in upper secondary education, highlighting the need for this investment to better align education with workforce demands.
