2nd onion train shipped from Nashik to Delhi by Indian govt to boost supply and control prices.

The Indian government has sent a second train with 840 tonnes of onions from Nashik to Delhi to enhance supply and stabilize prices. Procured by NAFED under a price stabilization fund, the onions will be sold at Rs 35 per kg, primarily at Azadpur Mandi. This follows an earlier shipment of 1,600 MT, and aims to address high retail onion prices across several states, with the government reserving 4.7 lakh tonnes for this initiative.
