MISC Group's ultra-deepwater FPSO, Marechal Duque de Caxias, commenced oil production on October 30, 2024, in Brazil's Santos Basin. Chartered to Petrobras for the Libra Consortium's Mero field, it has a capacity of 180,000 barrels per day and can store 1.4 million barrels. Notably, it incorporates High-Pressure Separation technology to reduce emissions and features advanced gas reinjection systems. The project aims to achieve environmentally sustainable oil production.
