Following a stampede at Mumbai's Bandra Terminus that injured 10 people, Western Railway has implemented new measures to reduce crowding and enhance passenger safety. Effective until November 8, penalties will be imposed on passengers carrying excess luggage beyond their travel class limits. Additionally, platform ticket sales are temporarily restricted at major stations, and stacking parcels on platforms before train departures is discouraged to improve safety and movement.
